ACROSS THE BAY was opened in December 1981 by the present owners John and Ursula Haslam. Since then the home has gained an excellent reputation amongst Health Care professionals and residents for a high standard of personal care with a homely and friendly ambience.
 
The home is situated on the Promenade in Bare Village with many amenities within easy reach. Princess Crescent has a justifiably high reputation for its many shops and cafes. We are close to bus routes and the train station. Close by is Happy Mount Park, a traditional  park that includes reserved seating areas for the  blind and partially sighted, Japanese gardens, Brass Band concerts, bowling green, nature trails,something for all ages.
 
The Home has its own mini-bus which has a wheelchair lift and any of our well-trained members of staff are happy to arrange Escorted visits to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales etc also transport with escort to medical appointments is provided.
